Record Store Day 2011 is here! Today is finally the day when exclusive pieces will be available at participating stores from the likes of Brett Dennen, Steve Earle, Ray LaMontagne, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, including a split with Mumford & Sons and Laura Marling.
Steve Earle – I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive
Side A of this exclusive Record Store Day 7″, “I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive” is the title of Steve Earle’s new album but the track does not appear on the album. The B side, “This City” is from “Treme”. This piece comes on colored vinyl.
Ray LaMontagne – Live Fall 2010
This vinyl EP is a limited version of 5 live songs recorded from Ray Lamontagne & The Pariah Dogs’ Fall 2010 tour. The piece features the tracks: “For The Summer,” “Beg Steal Or Borrow”, “You Can Bring Me Flowers (featuring The Secret Sisters),” “Like Rock & Roll And Radio”, and “Henry Nearly Killed Me (It’s A Shame).”
Mumford & Sons/Laura Marling – Dharohar Project
Record Store Day sees the first time physical release of this 10 inch vinyl EP featuring Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling and their collaborative recordings with a collective of Rajasthani folk musicians at an arts & culture school in Delhi during their 2009 India tour. The piece includes collaborative re-workings of Mumford & Sons’ song “To Darkness”, and Laura Marling’s “Devil’s Spoke”.
Ryan Adams and the Cardinals – Class Mythology EP
This limited-edition gatefold double 7″ (one yellow, one orange) features 4 unreleased outtakes from the “Cardinology” era. Includes cover collages done by Ryan Adams with never-before-seen photos on the inner-gatefold and a 7″x7″ ‘mini-poster’ and Cardinals sticker inserted in each package.
