Remember Lilith Fair? The Sarah McLachlan-curated touring festival/gathering of womanly vibes that took America by storm in the ’90s?

Well, it’s back. And we’re excited.

The festival, which includes female artists from the rock, pop, country, folk, hip-hop and R&B worlds coming together, announced their initial lineup this week, and there are plenty of CMP-approved artists in the mix.

Headliners Sheryl Crow and Emmylou Harris performed at the original festival in the ’90s and are on board for the 2010 tour. Country-licious new additions include Sugarland, Miranda Lambert and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals.

Miranda Lambert had this to say about being included in the festival, taken from the Lilith Fair website:

“I am excited to be part of a tour that celebrates and acknowledges talented women from all genres of music, and am so proud to have the opportunity to join the prestigious line up of past female artists who have performed on Lilith Fair.”

The first round of cities is as follows:

  • Atlanta, GA
  • Boston, MA
  • Calgary, AB
  • Chicago, IL
  • Dallas, TX
  • Denver, CO
  • London, UK
  • Los Angeles, CA

  • Montreal, QC
  • New York, NY

  • Portland, OR
  • Seattle, WA
